CONTRAINDICATIONS
General contraindications for use of physical factors [2]:
- Malignant neoplasms
- Systemic blood disorders
- Sudden weakness and wasting of the body (cachexia)
- Essential hypertension, stage III
- Full-blown cerebral atherosclerosis
- Cardiovascular diseases at decompensation stage
- Bleeding or inclination to bleeding
- General poor condition of patient
- Febrility (body temperature above 38° С)
- Active pulmonary tuberculosis
- Epilepsy with frequent seizures
- Hysteria with serious convulsive attack
- Psychosis with psychomotor agitation appearances
Frequent contraindications upon the recommendation of physiotherapists:
- Abdominal aneurysm
- Bleeding ulcer
- Crohn’s disease
- Haemorrhoids
- Menstrual period
- In the region of action of implanted pacemakers
- During pregnancy
- In the region of thrombophlebitis
- In the region of pronounced atherosclerosis
- In patients with acute infectious diseases
If the exposure region covers organs, in which concrements are revealed (gall bladder, kidney, urinary tract etc.), the procedures should be administered only on recommendation and under the supervision of the physician.
